Tree Hugger v. Conservatives

Why can't these two groups of Americans see they want the same thing?

Gas is a commodity and it is one that is delivered with the most efficiency of any industry. The oil companies make far less per gallon than say milk producers or soft drink makers. They only make a bout 9 cents a gallon profit where as the other two industries make well over a dollar gallon.

The reason industry profits are so high is that we are buying more and more gas every day and do not increase the number of refined gallons available to the market. The retail part of the industry pays the same whole sale rate and the gas you buy at Exxon might have come from a BP refinery or a Shell one. it isn't that simple. You can 't hurt them like that and the over all demand will not go down so the whole sale price will not fo down. You could only effect it by a few cents at most since the demand does not decrease.

The thing we need to do is reduce consumption. I want to unite the tree hugger and the Home land defense types on this. They should have a common goal of reducing dependence on people that don't like us and the over all effect will be a reduced emission from autos which will please every polar bear if you get my drift

Reducing consumption and being more efficient in our personal travel and energy use is a strategic and environmental imperative. We have to get these fools to realize they want the same thing but for different reasons. We are wasting time fighting about it. If all this shit is true about killing the eclectic car and all that rot then those people are pro-Bin Landen

You dig and they should be shot like spies and traitors. I am serious when I say this and not a bit crazy. Will you help me? the longer these two groups keep fighting  like enemies for the same thing the closer we get to  $5 gas, a  sky full of CO2 and  an IOU  co-held by  the Saudis the Chinese and  Hugo Chavez.
